We’re delighted to welcome Davie Boyle to the Sonomatic RAIS team!
Davie joined Sonomatic 6 months ago as an ANDT Technician and has quickly settled in, becoming a valued member of the team. Since joining, he’s supported across a range of contracts and locations, bringing a strong background in advanced inspection techniques. His experience adds real capability and depth to the team, supporting delivery across a variety of complex scopes.
We asked him a few questions — get to know him a bit better below.

ANDT Technician
What led you to this career?
Luck! I started off as a ‘mature’ trainee with MB Inspection 20 years ago and never looked back.
What does your job role involve?
Based in Grangemouth, doing a variety of ANDT tasks in the workshops and various sites around the UK. I’ve also been involved in some of the R&D work in Warrington so far, which I have really enjoyed.
What is the most exciting part of your job/what are you looking forward to in your new role?
The most exciting part of my job and NDT in general is the variety of tasks that you can be involved in, there is always an opportunity to learn. I’m looking forward to passing on some experience to the trainees that we have in Sonomatic.
What accomplishment have you made in your career so far that you are proud of?
Meeting so many people over the years as well as colleagues that have become friends has given me the most enjoyment out of this career so far.
Who inspires you and why?
My biggest inspiration is my kids. They are the ones that inspire me to continually be the best I can be every day.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
As mentioned, my 2 children take up the majority of my spare time between football, dancing and all their activities! I also like to go to the gym and walk the dog.
